Ofsted & Performance Data

Celebrating academic performance at Widmer End

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the outstanding academic success of our pupils and the exceptional progress they make year-on-year. Our results speak for themselves: an impressive 97% of pupils at Key Stage 2 achieve at least the expected standard in Reading,  86% of our Year 1 children pass the Phonics Screening Check, and 80% of our Reception pupils achieve a Good Level of Development. These achievements reflect the dedication, hard work and high aspirations shared by our children, staff and families. We are incredibly proud of what our school community continues to accomplish together.

Our last Ofsted Inspection was in July 2023. We were judged to still be a GOOD school with effective Safeguarding.

"This is a happy school where pupils are confident and motivated to learn."

"Pupils feel safe and secure because nurturing staff work closely together as a dedicated team."

"Pupils are enthusiastic about their learning. They want to please their teachers and do their best."

"The school is flourishing. As soon as the headteacher joined, she put in place a programme of rapid improvements."
