I left my teaching job two years ago and took a break from working in education altogether after becoming completely burnt out in the pandemic. I had contemplated contacting Widmer End school for a while to see if there were any volunteering opportunities and I’m so glad I did! Widmer End Community Combined School reminded me why I fell in love with teaching in the first place and made me feel so at home there. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere in the school is so welcoming! I have absolutely loved the time I have spent there this academic year and will be forever grateful for the support I’ve been shown by everyone.

As a parent here for the last eight years, I've had the pleasure of seeing my three children thrive across different year groups.
