I joined the team here at Widmer End in September 2022 as Deputy Headteacher and Year 3 teacher. I am thrilled to be a part of such a warm and welcoming school family. I am lucky enough to have been teaching for 25 years and have been able to work and gain experience in three different schools in three separate boroughs across the country.

I love every subject we teach in primary school but my passion is for everything English! I have been a Lead Literacy teacher and now work as a county KS2 writing moderator, supporting colleagues with their writing judgements across Buckinghamshire. I have worked as a mentor for the last ten years and enjoy my role in supporting colleagues early on in their career as well as those with a little more experience!

I have always had a love of music; I play the piano and am the first to volunteer to lead school choirs, taking them to exciting places such as the Royal Albert Hall and the O2 arena to perform in front of thousands, as well as local events and places such as residential homes to entertain the elderly.

I have a husband and two teenage girls who keep me very busy at home, as well as my little Welsh terrier, Teddy, who I love taking for walks in the countryside as often as I can fit them in! I am so excited to be part of the Widmer End team and feel privileged to be here to support and guide the children in their journey towards becoming successful and responsible citizens when they leave us at the end of Year 6.
