Mrs A Saha

Learning Support Assistant

Since 2007, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Widmer End School, where I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside many inspiring colleagues in a supportive and friendly environment. Over the years, I have developed a strong sense of maturity and professionalism, which I bring to all aspects of my work with children.

As a qualified teaching assistant, I am passionate about supporting and encouraging children to reach their full potential. I am enthusiastic, approachable, and always eager to learn new things that can enhance the learning experience.

In addition to my work in the classroom, I have introduced an Indian dance club at the school to engage and inspire students through movement and culture. Dance is not only my passion but also an extension of my teaching. I am a trained dancer, choreographer, and educator, holding a 6th-year diploma in Kathak (one of India’s eight classical dance forms) and Rabindra Nritya (a modern, contemporary Indian style).

I am a Science graduate from the University of Calcutta and a National Scholarship holder from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Alongside my academic pursuits, I have received multiple awards for my contributions to dance, including the prestigious She Inspires Award, presented at the UK Parliament House in 2025.

Through my dance performances and workshops, I actively raise funds for various charitable causes, using the power of art to give back to the community and support those in need.

My experience in the performing arts allows me to connect with students in creative and meaningful ways.

I am also a bilingual speaker, fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali—skills that help me connect with children and families from diverse backgrounds and foster an inclusive learning environment.
