Hi, I'm Liz and I joined the staff team at Widmer End in December 2025 as School Bursar.  I have been part of the school community and PTA since my eldest started Reception in 2014 and all 3 of our boys have loved their time here.

My main responsibility as Bursar is managing the school finances and working with the headteacher and governors to ensure that we are spending our budget as efficiently as possible.  However, the job is very varied – HR, recruitment and contract management are some of the other aspects of the role, as well as working very closely with the admin team.  One of the best parts of my day will usually be interacting with the children – they never fail to amuse and amaze me!

My time outside of school is often spent watching the boys (and husband!) play various sports – we're a big rugby family and fortunately, I have a good array of warm and waterproof clothing!  We also love camping and exploring new places together or just hanging out with our crazy labrador, Lola.

Away from family life, I also love running crafting workshops as a wellbeing activity with another Widmer End mum.  In any other spare time, I love theatre, especially musicals, and attend Belly Dancing classes, which are a great way to ‘shake it off’ at the end of the week!
